This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
Hey. I'm not sure if anyone even checks up on my gallery these days, but this is just a note to say that I'm back in action. Been suffering from an extremely long period of artistic drought, so hopefully I can kick myself back into gear.
hey Hilary, thanks for the comments on my work...I really appreciate well thought out responses, since they are so rare, and require someone to actually view the work... my self portrait/witness the beauty piece was about the best way I could think to represent something in myself that isn't all that apparent...it is kinda like an "American Beauty" moment... I'm glad it made you feel that way.
And by the way, you have whole lot of talent yourself! I remembered your Maynard colored pencil drawing and Trent Reznor eye drawing, as well as many of your other pieces...You don't need me to tell you, but I always like encouraging creativity: Keep it up...in the choas that is NOW, creation is such a gift.
As for my techniques: I learned the way I do things from Drew Struzan. it's simple, in some sense, but it requires an airbrush...you basically just start out with a very simple pencil drawing...get your dark shadows, your contours, and your main features...after that, you airbrush acrylic over the underdrawing, using stencils and whatever main color you want...you can segregate the color, and you can also blend it into eachother...really adding a certain harmony in color...once you've airbrushed, you can go in with colored pencils, lighter colors, to bring out highlights and extra color.
good luck with all your endeavors, and if you want to chat, you can email me or use DA...I'm rarely on AIM, or I'd say use that...I'm happy to hear my work has inspired you...that's a great compliment.
...and yes, Maynard James Keenan is an amazing musician.

Thank you for the gallery visit and the nice words! About the hair, its just meticulously planed, I leave the white of the paper as highlights and really draw a stand, just small parts of them.
You've got a real good gallery going on, keep it up!

No really. I'm a funkaholic. I'm a Funk-Machine. I'm the Funkinator. And I wear a funkro.
---Well, that last part is more of a wish.
